OVERHEAD TRANSMISSION LINE FITTINGS

DEAD END CLAMP
BS 3288

Dead-end clamps are often used at two spots in the distribution system. They are used to anchor the line conductor from the pole and when the line’s direction is being changed (at extreme angles).  Thus, Dead-end clamps are installed at the start & end of the line and also at the places where the line is taking the extreme turns.

Tension Clamp
[U-Bolted]

  • IEC 61284

  • ASTM A 153/A 153 M – 09

  • ASTM A 123/A 123 M – 02

  • The tension clamp is one type of single tension hardware fittings, it is mainly used on the overhead transmission lines or distribution lines. The tension clamp is also called dead end strain clamp or quadrant strain clamp, it is one kind of transmission line clamps.

Suspension Clamp

  • IEC 61284

A suspension clamp is a fitting that is designed for suspending or hanging cables or conductors to the pole.

Mid Span

Mid Span Joints are used to connect two lengths of overhead line conductor together between the pylon towers and are classed as overhead tension joints.

Technical Data:
1- Material: Aluminum Alloy
2- Min. Falling Load/Slip strength after compression – 95 % of Conductor
3- Resistance of mid span joint is less than 75 % of resistance of equal length of conductor

Spacers

SPACERS USED IN TRANSMISSION LINE Typically a line spacer is used to separate the multiple conductors of one phase of a three-phase line. As an example, one of the three phases may have two, three or more conductors run from transmission tower.

available Material: High quality Copper alloy & High-quality Aluminum Alloy.

Vibration Damper

Vibration Dampers are used to absorb Aeolian Vibrations of conductor of Transmission Lines

Parallel Groove

Parallel Groove Clamps Provide Electrical Connection between two conductors, other connection in substations, and ground wire earth continuity connections. Designed for low electrical joint resistance and Power transmission between conductors

Material: Aluminum Alloy.

Cable Cleat

What is Cable Cleat?

The international standard governing cable cleats used in electrical installations is IEC 61914:2015.

In this standard cable cleats are defined as “Devices are designed to provide securing of cables when installed at intervals along the length of the cable “.

Simply cable cleats are used to secure, fix and route electrical cables in the position required in an electrical installation.

They can Consist of single or multiple parts, plastic or metal material and include some sort of provision for securing itself to a surface or structure.

Mounting surfaces that may be specified include, ladder, tray, strut, rail, wire and beam.
